Random Related Posts

Description

The plugin provides a sidebar widget with customisable title and number of related posts to display.
The widget will display a random list of x number of posts ( selected in widget options ) together with a small tag including the publish date and author.
If used outside of a specific category the widget will default to all categories, whilst still displaying the selected number of random posts.

Installation

  1. Upload the simple-related-posts directory to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory
  2. Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress
  3. Add widget through the WordPress widgets menu and customise.

FAQ

On what basis are posts selected?

Post are from the same category as the the post being viewed.
If no category is present, eg. you’re on the main blogroll, posts will randomly be selected from all the categories.
